Royal Enfield has launched 2018 Himalayan Slate Edition in India. The company has priced it at Rs. 2,12,666 (On-Road, Chennai). The new Himalayan sleeve is available exclusively for booking online. For this, customers have to pay Rs. 5000 in token amount. Bookings for this new bike have started on January 12, which will continue until January 30.
Its cell will start from January 30 and will be distributed on the basis of the first-come-first-served basis. The company has prepared only 500 units of this bullet. New Himalayan Slate Edition is expensive from its regular model, up to about 28,000 rupees.
Royal Enfield has been included in the Himalayan New Slate Edition with cosmetic upgradation, but also an additional explorer kit in the package. This kit includes 26-litre water resistance aluminium panniers, pannier mounting rails, off-road style handlebars etc.
This new bike also includes an engine guard, which is equipped with powder coating finish. This bike has been painted from the Himalaya-inspired colour scheme. On the 2018 Himalayan Sleet Edition model, customers are given a two-year warranty.
Speaking of the 2018 Himalayan Slate Edition engine, it has been kept as regular variant. It has a 411cc single-cylinder engine which produces 24Bhp power and 32Nm torque. Long travel suspension setup has been given in this bike. Talk about breaking performance, it has been given a disc brake in both the front and back. This adventure motorcycle has a 21-inch speak wheel and 18-inch wheel in the rear.
